Kelly completed a degree in neuroscience before pursuing her love of design at the University of Otago, and studying further at Shillington College in Melbourne.&nbsp;She gets her kicks from the distillation of complex concepts into simple, digestable graphic forms that surprise and delight. Kelly likes to work with colour palettes that sing, typeset intuitively, and injects her work with a warm sense of humour. The striping represents transformation – a gradual change in state, with playful variation in the placement of the bursting flowerheads. I was honoured to be approached to adapt an original painting by Leslie Nawirridj, a Yolngu Artist from Maningrida, to create a consistent brand for the 50th anniversary. I intertwined the 5 and 0&nbsp;forms to subtly communicate the culture of unity that makes ALPA such a wonderful community organisation.
